"In a spectacular exhibit of her artistic vision, conceptual artist Pauline Galiana’s created two of her works live, shredding one of Farameh’s best-selling, limited edition SKULL STYLE books into hundreds of pieces, repurposing the remains into two dazzling, three-dimensional wall collage artworks." One day performance project where the artist made two collage pieces by deconstructing the book Skull from The Curated Collection.
This book features images of famous art and design pieces made with or about skulls. The artist cut through the book pages in order to reconstruct her interpretation of the Skull book cover. In this process the artworks of great artists like Damien Hirst, Cameron Gray, Peter Tunney, just to name a few, participate in the recreation of the ancient symbol of the cycle death and life.
These large-scale collages were created in one-day performance in the window of 520 West 27th street, Chelsea New York on April 4th, 2013, at the occasion of the opening of “Victorious” a show curated by Kevin Havelton/Aureus Contemporary and Klaus Peter.
